30 June:
A great run again
today fine weather sunny and once again beautiful drive. We drove
through nice green scenery trees and bush. We lunched on the side of
the roadway sitting among the red dirt, the ground is nice and dry so
no drama. We had a good run headed through Cobar and onto Bourke. We
arrived at the camping ground at 2.30pm they had had rain in the
early hours of the morning so the van park was a bit muddy and large
puddles were all around. We checked in and paid for 2 nights we were
shown a map of the sites that were available we didn't want to go on
the sites that backed onto the Kamilaroi H Way so headed across the
other side finding a site that was not too muddy and or had much
water lying around - in fact it had a shingle base so we took that
one. Set up and had a cuppa before settling in for the remainder of
our stay. Showers and tea over we spent the evening watching some
telly. Best thing is it isn't too cold.
