Overnight Freebie at Gilgunnia

29 June:

We arrived at our overnight stop in plenty of time and found a good spot along the back of the overnight rest area, away from the road and in an area that was not muddy. We had a great drive still on the Kidman Way. We saw heaps of wildlife - Goats,Roos,Wallabies,Pigs and Emus, we had to keep an eye out as they run across the road when you are not expecting them to and could make a nasty mess of the vehicle. The day was beautiful blue blue sky not a cloud and sunny as. By 3.00pm the sun was fading and it started to cool off pretty quick we had an early tea and settled in for the night in fact we were in bed so early it was the warmest place to be, we had hot water bottles, winter sheets and plenty of blankets, with no power we had the 12v lights which with the new LEDs they throw out a great light the fridge was running on gas. Awoke the morning of the 30th to a mighty cold morning with hot porridge and a cuppa we were soon packed and on our way heading for Bourke.
