Off to Coolum we go

Sunday 20 May we woke to a cloudy day and thought it was going to rain, woke got up and make a cuppa and took it back to bed, Brian said earlier I think we will go to Coolum for a drive and when we saw the overcast weather he decides maybe it will not be such a good idea. Anyway at 1100am the sun had come out and so we then thought well we may as well go and get out for a few hours. When we arrived at Coolum it was cool however the sun was out and we thought a walk along the boardwalk would be the name of the game. The walk goes up along the beach and take you around to the lookout at Pt Arkwright the view is amazing, you can see as far north to Noosa and as far south as looking toward the Gold Coast way in the distance - you can definately see up to Marrochydore. We went to the coffee club after our walk and had a coffee and a snack that we shared for lunch before returning home. A lovely way to spend the better part of the day.

Monday 7/5/12 - Labour Day today and another Public Holiday, crazy thing is all the Public Holiday's here in AU/QLD are all in the first 6mths of the year, our last one is next month being Queen's Birthday - however there is talk that next year they are changing it to October so at least we will get another break later in the year. Today was just the most amazing day for WINTER - yes it is winter well meant to be however with temps of around 24c it sure did not seem like it, and when you see the people on the beaches and in the water swimming it is hard to believe. Brian and I decided we would go for a walk along the boardwalk from Caloundra and Kings Beach and back again to Caloundra where we had lunch at the coffee club which was just wonderful a table on the esplanade with over the water view stunning for a great day - however all good things have to come to an end, so we came home and cleaned the car and tomorrow it is back to work -hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
