Phil and JiHeyons Wedding

Back on October 10th I said we were going to our friends, son's wedding. Here are the photos.
Below photo is Brian and I taken with our friends Keryn and Graham - parents of the groom, Keryn is wearing a traditional outfit called a Hangbok - the mother of the groom has the blue on the shoulders of her outfit and the brides mother has pink on her's. It was just beautiful, held at Keryn and Graham's in the back paddock (they have 6acres) which for months Phil and Graham had cut with a ride on mower and turned it into a lawn.

Departure date

Tuesday 27th is the date we leave here and head straight to our next housesit at Burbank. We will stay here at Cedar Grove for the day and have our tea here before we drive over to Burbank where we will be for approx 2wks. I doubt we will update again before we get to our next house sit. Brian has a surgeon appt for Nov 11th!!!!!! goodness knows why as he won't be able to tell us anything until he does the next cycstocopy procedure which is booked at Selangor Private Hospital in Nambour this is booked for Nov 26th time TBA. Take care stay safe - and cherrio C and B. Our friends Keryn and Graham who live at Morayfield have a large lot (6acres) and have offered to store Poppy there for us from Dec 15th so we have kindly thanked them and said yes so we won't be paying storage any more come December for the caravan, having it there is also very handy for us as it is half way between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

Hills Golf Club

During the week we went to the Hills Golf Club so that Brian could have a few holes of golf. We went around 2.30pm hoping it would be cooler - wrong - oh well it was pleasant strolling around the back 8 holes. A nice course and we saw a few strange things, a Kangaroo only a stones throw from where Brian was playing and then on the way to the 18th hole we saw a couple of young Korean lads taking a golf buggy for a swim in the lake.

Cedar Grove - Jimboomba

Jimboomba is a growing town and locality in Logan City, Queensland, Australia. In the 2011 census, Jimboomba had a population of 11,387 people.

Thursday the 15th Oct saw our homeowners from Brahr's Scrub arrive back around 2,00pm, we were all packed and ready to head off once all the hello's/goodbye's and anything else needed to be said. We drove through to Jimboomba approx 45mins from Bahr's Scrub, we took the back road which was really very scenic, going through townships Logan Village, Yarrabillba before coming to the mongrel Mt Lindsay H/Way this is a death trap main road, so many accidents happen on this road and only on the Friday after we arrived we were heading into town to get some milk and bread did we come across a road block yep car V tree (fatal)

Cedar Grove is a locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the 2011 census, Cedar Grove had a population of 2,020.

We are minding our friends house while they are back in NZ, we leave here this Tuesday 27th and head straight to our next house sit at Burbank. We are about 10mins from Jimboomba so need to make sure we have bread and milk as there is no shop near by to pop out for any goodies. It is semi rural all the land lots are big at least 3sections, the street # here is 11-13, the house is set well back from the road down a long driveway. The is a small dam on the property and this has a regular water dragon, native ducks, shags and I guess there are other things in and around it however we have so far seen NO snakes thankfully as it is time for them to be on the move. We make sure we have he screen doors closed at all times.

 

And So The Last Week Draws Near

This Wednesday 14th see's us make the long drive up and back to Selangor Private Hospital in Nambour where Brian will have his last BCG infusion, it's been 6 long weeks, alot of driving and long long days. We won't know if it has done what it is meant to do until we go back to see the surgeon probably in the next 4wks. Will update the blog again with any last minute stuff if I get a chance and or when we get to Jimboomba. Take care folks .
