Saturday 10th October:
We are into our last week here infact we move on - on Thursday, heading slightly further inland to friends - Chris went to work in Auckland with Margaret at the Print factory at Onehunga. They have lived in AU for years and the last few have been living in Jimboomba, so that's where we are heading on Thursday arvo. They are currently on holiday in NZ, their son is there until Friday when he leaves to go on holiday overseas for 2wks. We are heading to Jimboomba til the 27th but more on that later. The homeowners here are due home around 1.30 on Thursday, it has been a lovely place to stay the dogs are a real joy to mind no bother at all and having such huge grounds they need no walks - BONUS. Friday they get a bone and the antics from both dogs are so different, Miss Lucy collects her and goes all round the section to try and find somewhere to eat her's away from Chad the cream dog, he is the opposite he takes and it that's it just get on with the job of chomping it. These photos show some of the antics that go on rather funny especially Lucy. The lie and wait for the bone and only take it when told they are well trained and makes it so much easier to look after them when they do as they are told. We have a wedding today to go to, friends of our's at Morayfield their son married a Korean girl last year in Korea - we were asked to the Korean wedding but out of the question, therefore as they are now living back in AU the people invited to Korea that could not make it are asked to the ceremony today at 3.00pm at Phils mum and dad's place, it should be a nice day the temp is meant to be around 26-28 and any showers around hopefully will pass thru early in the morning. The mothers of the groom and bride are both wearing traditional costume not sure about the bride and groom, again we have a long drive to get there from here so we will have to leave around 1.15pm, we won't stay late as I don't think they are doing spit roast until 6.00pm, we really want to be home around 6-7, so will probably just stay for the wedding a chat and some nibbles then head back home. (will put some photos up later)
