Final Marcoola
Thursday 13th April our last day here at Marcoola, we head back to the caravan which is all set up onsite back at Beerwah Sports Ground, we are there for the long Easter weekend before heading to Worrim, Bribie Island van park until the 21st when we move into the Promontory home on the canal until mid August. We won't update the blog until we are in the house on the Prom.
Old Governor's Bay School Friend
Christine Radcliffe
I found out that another of my old GBay school friends lives here on the Sunshine Coast, not only that she lives only 15mins from where we are house sitting. We arranged to meet up for a chat and coffee at the Coffee Club in Coolum last Sunday. I had not seen Christine since we left GBay when I was only around a 8-10yrs old. We chatted away about old friends that we went to school with together. Both Christine and Vivienne went to Cashmere High School and as I went to Hagley High our paths never met during high school days then we went our own way. Vivienne (nee Sprosen) now lives in Melbourne and I am in contact with her often, infact we are going to house sit for her and Hans next year when they go to Europe for 6-8wks so that will be a hoilday for us as we will fly down then use their car.

Marcoola Update
Sunday April 9th:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YASMINE for yesterday April 8th. Was lovely chatting with you late in the afternoon. I was so sorry to hear that you never even received a small gift let alone a card from the men in your house ☹. After all you do for them to not even give you a card is just dreadful - well make sure when it is the big man's birthday you know what to do. Your gift from us will be late however you will definately be getting something. ☺
We are leaving Marcoola on Easter Friday and heading back to the Beerwah Sports Ground. We decided to head back to Beerwah for Easter weekend as the cost of the van park at Bribie that we usually go to heave the prices up over any long weekend/school holidays etc. The price reverts back to the usual price on the 18th so we will head to the Bribie van park at Worrim on the 18th and stay in the caravan until the 21st when we move into our yearly house sit for Mike and Margaret on "The Promontory" at Banksia Beach. We will be at The Prom until late August back into the van for approx 2wks then back to the same house while they head overseas and do an African Safari (oh to have $$$$$$$). So on this note will just add a few more photos of Marcoola and leave catching up again until we are at Bribie.

Cyclone Debbie
Saturday 1st April:
Well she came and went. The worst time was between 5-7 on Thursday night. The wind was so strong it moved the full sized trampoline across the back yard off the grass onto the pavers and garden. Slightly smashing into a Frangipani tree breaking off a couple of branches which Chris has now made smaller cuttings from and will let them dry out completely before she pots them up - these ones are pink. The rain drove into the front of the house causing the windows to leak upstairs which then found it's way downstairs. We used all the towels to mop up the floors and windows along with buckets. The dogs slept inside for the night, the bird aviary was covered and the GPigs cage was moved around the back under cover. Friday dawned a beautiful day sunny and hardly a cloud in the sky. The washing machine worked overtime so Chris could get all the towels washed and on the line.
Other than that all is good no other issues. The pool is a bit cool to be swimming in at the moment, we not get any more swimming in now for this season.
