Breakfast @ "Mira Cafe" & "Burnett Head's"
Saturday 21st:
Other than the waves crashing on the shore and the birds chirping the only other noise I heard upon waking - well I was awake first was the lad saying to me "cuppa tea" haha
Today met up with the girls and Carol said follow us and we will go for Brunch to this amazing place that does pancakes -!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as we don't normally do breakfast like that I decided I would have a small bowl of cereal which I did. We were told on Friday night by Carol we will come down to you in the morning between 1030 & 1100am and you can follow us, at 1015 Vicky text and said Carol is still asleep - Dad says well wake her up then. The girls arrived around 1045am and off we went to find this place it was amazing, located in a residential area I thought we must have been going to someone's house, I had French Toast with Bacon, Brian had Scrambled Eggs & Toast the girls all had Pancakes with cream & ice cream, we all had a coffee and it was just delicious. On the way back we decided to go to Burnett Heads where there is a camping ground near the lighthouse and a harbour for all forms of boats, had a walk & drive around then decided it was time to leave - we got lost and the reason why I am told was because the Sugar Cane was so high hahahahaha. Finding our way back via Vicky's GPS we went back to their accomms where we had a swim in the pool and a cuppa before coming back to "Poppy' where the lad had a snooze and I did the washing. For tea we had pizza at our van with the girls along with Jamie & Alesha we had a great night and to top it off we saw a "Tawny Frog mouth" this is a bird for those of you that do not know, it is nocturnal like the kookaburra, it was sitting on a pole directly along from our van, waiting for bugs and insects around the light, so it was out with the camera's and while doing this the guy in the van along from us said oh there is a possum sitting on top of the fridge in the kitchen, so once again armed with the camera's and kids off we went through the dark to find the kitchen - it was so tame therefore one can only guess it is well fed by the campers.Back to our van to tidy up and do the dishes, once this was all done the girls and the kids left, leaving the oldies in peace, showers for us a bit of TV watching then bed as we leave tomorrow to head home.
