Grey Nomads in our poptop caravan, based at Caloundra but travelling, doing some house sits which still allows us to travel and see the country without always taking the van.

Wildlife in the back yard
We still have our wonderfully large Sulphur Crested Cockatoos come visit us on a regular basis, the two in these photo's are definately Mr & Mrs Arnie (they'll be back) as we can get right up to them to put the seed out for them without Arnie flying away, Mrs Arnie flys off to the nearest powerline and comes down once the seed is out however Mr Arnie just stays with his head cocked watching and waiting turn to feed. We have had the odd Eastern Rosella come these are very timid and fly off at the lest small noise, we are hoping they will return - however up until Wednesday this week we have never had any Rainbow Lorikeets come to feed what great excitment when I heard a very familiar noise very close by so I crept out to the laundry and had a look and there they were two beautiful Lorrikets feeding away happily, and then when we were sitting out the back Wednesday arvo when Helen & Dave Waldron called in for a cuppa they came down again to have afternoon tea for themselves, I am certain once they know seed is there they will continue to come and hopefully encourage the Rosella's to come also. Enjoy the photos.
