Thursday 30 March:
We are staying inside no venturing out today, very heavy rain showers and storng wind gust coming through. Worst to come this arvo. All schools closed, businesses advised to close and shut up shop at midday, a precaution to get people off the roads and streets incase of flooding and flying stuff. Brian has drained the pool in readiness for the heavy deluge that is expected this arvo. We have moved the Guinea Pigs in under cover of the back area and covered the bird aviary.There is a small leak coming through the roof near the front door so we have a bowel catching the water it's not huge but we cann't let the water go all over the floor. We back onto the Sunshine Coast Airport and all planes are still coming and going not sure for how long though.
